Survey room
pointer lock

A procedural first-person room for testing spatial navigation as an instrument. Enter deliberately, move inside the measured bounds, and keep the room plan available when WebGL or pointer lock is unavailable.

Pointer lock is opt-in. The room stays inside a bounded 12 × 8 m footprint; the static plan remains available below.

WASD / arrow keys move · Escape releases pointer lock · Tab is never captured

Reading contract: position and heading are measured from the procedural room; camera travel and glow are editorial staging, not a measurement.

Touch step navigation

No pointer lock is requested on touch layouts. Each tap is a bounded step; turn controls adjust heading.

Room plan / bounds and obstacles

The plan is not a screenshot substitute: it is the complete keyboard- and print-readable fallback for the room's spatial contract.

Takeaway: the player can move anywhere inside the boundary except through the four solid survey blocks; coordinates use metres with the origin at the central table.
